Ed began his radio career as a traffic reporter for the Jay Thomas morning show on the legendary 99X, worked as a producer for WNYC A/FM, and DJ'd for several small market stations while chaffing under the limitations of the 80's "more music less talk" format. In 1988, he had the opportunity to jump into the world of talk radio, and accepted the afternoon shift at WFAS-AM in the NYC suburban market.
Ed went on to win a National Headliners Association award and a New York State Broadcaster's Association award, hosting the PM Update for three years.
Changing ownerships forced him to move on to Metro Traffic/NY, where his talk background was immediately utilized; he became an on-air member of the Curtis and Lisa Sliwa show on WABC, as well as working with WABC-TV and WPLJ-FM. He has the privileged (but not necessarily unique) distinction of being blown up by Imus on WFAN.
In the mid 90's, Ed has the opportunity to move back to hosting his own show on Long Island. Although it was a full-service format, Ed's program quickly became known as "Long Island's Funniest Afternoon Show".
Shortly after joining, Ed was promoted to Program Director and moved to the morning show, where he helmed a format change while retaining his high-energy comedy style.
Ed moved to Florida in 1996 and began working as a weekend and fill-in host, initially for WFTL-AM/Ft. Lauderdale. He moved with the station to a short-lived Paxson ownership, and migrated to Clear Channel after another purchase.

Under Clear Channel, Ed held regular Saturday shifts on WINZ-AM/Miami and WIOD-AM/Miami and did AM drive fills along with hurricane coverage until he relocated to Atlanta.

Ed us currently in the Atlanta market, working for Metro Traffic (again!). He can be heard Saturdays on WSB-AM and WSB-TV.
